Here at Silverdale stairs all our staff are extremely experienced in the production of stairs.
Gerry, has over 30 years’ experience in the staircase industry and he visits sites, measures and provides on the ground solutions. From design, materials or logistics, Gerry’s vast knowledge will ensure a seamless end to end procurement from Silverdale Stairs. Gerry covers from Puhoi to North of Auckland and in his down time he loves the NZ Ocean and to surf.
Paresh manages our Auckland sales and has a vast background in managing projects that also require end to end solutions. A former business owner Paresh prides himself on building solid relationships and following his sale to a positive implementation. In his downtime Paresh has a strong relationship with hockey, having played and coached.
Paul has over 20 years’ experience using CNC machines and ten of those year’s specialising in staircases. Quite the technician Paul has set up our specialist stair computer software along with our CAD software package. Our technical ability means that Paul can cut out any shape you can imagine. An example of technique is we have made balustrades with shapes cut into them and fretwork brackets on returned nose stairs for Villa’s.
Dave and Adrian are our main stair Joiners. Both are qualified with decades of experience behind them. As well as being on the tools making the stairs, they also install their work. With an exceptional eye for detail, Dave and Adrian make sure every job is completed to a high standard that they would expect in their own home. Dave is passionate about his boats and converting buses. Adrian spends his spare time with his kids.
Jos is our handrail and balustrade man. With well over 25 years’ experience he can install most types of handrails and balustrades to a very high standard of finish. Jos is also our ‘go to guy’ for installing the solid and architectural stairs. In his spare time he likes to travel in his motor home seeing our beautiful country.
Elias joined the team early 2018 having travelled to NZ from Sweden. On the tools he puts immense pride in his craftsmanship and is also delivering his stairs for installs. Elias is a true example of a young man who is living his dream to live in another country and doing work he enjoys.
Antoinette is generally the one answering the phones and greeting customers when they come in. Many of our jobs are programmed to be installed in new builds and therefore requires precision in managing ordering of materials, programming to a timeframe, communication and co-ordination. Antoinette has developed a great rapport with our customers and is passionate in providing the best customer service experience. Antoinette enjoys swimming, gardening and reading.
Nigel is the ‘Boss’. He oversees everything to make sure it’s all running smoothly and his 30 years of experience comes in handy when the difficult jobs come along. Nigel has certainly made some positive changes at Silverdale Stairs, especially in innovation since he purchased the business in 2014. Nigel is committed to providing a very high standard finished product. Outside of the business Nigel’s happy place is skiing on the ski slope with his family.
